Project Abstract

The research project is first aimed to empirically identify and operationalize success drivers for online open source software projects. With the findings from this initial exploratory study, a success model for online open source software projects will be proposed. Other important constructs (i.e., Team effectiveness, motivation to participate, etc.) need to be empirically explored and added for this infant stage of research stream. Ultimately, they will be embedded in the model and we hope to propose a comprehensive success model by the end of the project.
